Austria
The heart of the European market

Austria is a country with population of more than 8 million people and an area of almost 84.000 square kilometers. The country is situated in the middle of Europe and has from it's history close connections to Western Europe as well as to Eastern- and South-Eastern Europe. Austria tries to be an economic link between West and East.

The Danube is an inland waterway, which connects Austria with the Black Sea. Together with the Rhine-Main-Danube-Canal, the Danube is a Trans-European waterway, which connects the countries around the Black Sea with the harbors of the North Sea.

The capital Vienna is the economic hotspot of Austria and it grows together with the Slovakian capital Bratislava to a double metropolis. Austria is the right region for ProLogis for business to connect its activities in Western and Central Europe.
